If the first explanation didn't land, he tries a different one.

Next to the terminal, with one-tap questions that fit where you are, like “Check my work” and “Why didn't that work?”
He knows where you're up to
The story, the step you're on and what you've already finished, so his help fits.

Help, not answers
He nudges first, and gives the full answer only when you're properly stuck. The point is that you can do the job.

He looks before he speaks
When you ask about your machine, he checks it first, so his answer is about your work.

He says when he can't check
If something is out of his reach, he tells you, and gives you the command that would show you. He doesn't make things up.
